Who should I give Christmas Gifts to?
Sometimes gifting can feel overwhelming, especially around the holidays. One of the most common questions we get asked is “Who should I gift Christmas presents to?” Unfortunately, there is no handbook for who you should give Christmas gifts to. Many people purchase gifts for their parents, siblings, spouse or partner, kids, neighbors, coworkers, and/or close friends. However, gifting should never be about obligation, and you should only aim to gift to those you want to gift to!
Make a list of everyone who has touched your life in some way in 2021, this list will serve as your giftee list. We then recommend creating a Holiday gift budget and allocating your budget to each of these giftees. You will want to spend larger amounts on some giftees and minimize spending on others. For giftees who have a small gift budget, we suggest baking cookies or writing a handwritten card. Remember, that at the end of the day, gifting is about showing appreciation and love and you can show these things without buying expensive gifts!
Why give Christmas gifts?
Christmas is a holiday that allows us take time away from our normal lives to slow down and celebrate with family and friends. Christmas gifts signify our gratitude and appreciation for someone we love or care about. It’s a time to say "thank you" for being a great friend, a great parent, a great coworker, a great neighbor, a great teacher, or a great boss. ♥️
When to send Christmas gifts?
If you need to send Christmas gifts domestically in the US, we suggest shipping them by December 15th to ensure that they arrive to your family and friends prior to Christmas! We also suggest that you check with USPS, UPS, or Fedex frequently to see what kind of holiday delays they are expecting.
